My attempt at blogging solely with Emacs and Org mode has come to an end. I blame my perfectionist tendencies and my lack of understanding of Org mode internals. I’ve since set up Frog, a static site generator written in Racket.
There are some things that I will miss from Org mode, like source blocks and embedded LaTeX, but Frog has some pretty nice features of its own, like integration with Pygments for syntax highlighting and Disqus for comments. I’m also looking forward to writing some posts using Scribble, in the likely event that I will want to do some complex bloggy things like executing Racket code in a blog post.
